Michelle Chrisman
 I love the visual beauty of the West, New Mexico, and the desert with the variety of the three cultures.
I consider myself a contemporary colorist and modernist, but most of all, a visual poet. I am drawn to paint endangered places such as the wilderness, historic buildings, and fading cultures in the hope of drawing public awareness by preserving them on canvas.
My landscapes are painted "en plein air."
My visual music is written with the principals of impressionism, but I am a bit of an expressionist, as painting what I feel about my subject is important, and I love for the paint to expr ess itself in impasto movement.
The abstraction of the real world is most important to me.
Michelle has studied with Ray Vinella, Kevin Macpherson, Kim English, Mark Daily and Quang Ho.
Michelle will be teaching a workshop at Ghost Ranch New Mexico on October 10th through 16th.
