Custom Stretched Canvas

Labor Rates effective October 28, 2009

Artisan does not stretch original paintings due to the liability. We suggest a conservator or frame shop.  We notch braces to become cross braces for $2 per notch or $4 for overlapped joint.

When canvas and bars are purchased from ARTISAN:

• Oil Primed:....................................... length in inches + width in inches x $0.90

• All other:............................................ length in inches + width in inches x $0.65

• Oil Primed orders over $500.00:.... length in inches + width in inches x $0.70

• All other orders over $500.00:........ length in inches + width in inches x $0.50

Assembling bars only (when purchased from ARTISAN):

• There is no “over $500 rate”.

For Giclée and/or printed canvas when bars are purchased from ARTISAN:

• There is no “over $500 rate”.

When canvas only or bars only purchased from ARTISAN:

• Oil Primed:....................................... length in inches + width in inches x $1.00

• All other:............................................ length in inches + width in inches x $0.85

• There is no “over $500 rate”.

When artist supplies their own canvas and bars: (must be in good shape, please check with manager)

• There is no “over $500 rate”.

Any stretching on light duty bars:

•............................................................. length in inches + width in inches x $0.80* (Please see Manager for approval as it is very difficult to achieve satisfactory results.  Maximum size considered is 30” x 40”.)

• There is no “over $500 rate”.  

• Any canvas 30 square feet or larger must have adequate bracing.  Must speak directly with stretching department to configure bracing.  Any canvas over 40 square feet carries an extra charge.  Must speak directly with stretching department for exact price.

Next-Day Rush Charge per “canvas” (24hr “business-day” turnaround):

• Double the aforementioned rates. Rush Orders cannot be combined with others to qualify for the “over $500 rate”.

3^rd-Day Rush Charge per “canvas” (72hr “business-day” turnaround):

• Add 50% to aforementioned rates. Rush Orders cannot be combined with others to qualify for the “over $500 rate”.

Picture Wire Charge:

Delivery Fees:

• Within City Limits/$25.00

        • Outside City Limits/within manager-approved Metro Area:  $35.00

• Outside Metro Area:  Freight Collect or Prepay actual shipping charges.
